Can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner? Have you started planning your Christmas party outfits or shopping for presents? When it comes to party outfits, I’m a bit of a last minute shopper and often don’t start planning my outfits until the day before! Ok, maybe I’ll give it 2 days for important events! Most of the time I end up panicking about my outfit because I’m super picky when it comes to dresses, but I feel more organised this year. Thanks to Jones and Jones, I’ve already got an outfit ready for this year!
If you haven’t heard of Jones and Jones before, then you need to go and check them out right away! Jones and Jones is a British brand and all their dresses are designed, handmade and shipped from North London. They put a lot of emphasis on detail, style and quality which is all present in this Audrey Teal and Black Dress! Their dresses look super luxurious, but also really affordable! I think the styles at Jones and Jones is fun, funky and elegant with a lot of fit and flare!
Outfit Details
The Jones and Jones Audrey Dress is one of the most popular styles and comes in a range of colours, lengths and materials, but they all have the high square neck and skater skirt in common. The exact dress I’ve featured here is the Jones and Jones Audrey Teal and Black Satin and Lace Dress. However, I noticed that the colour of the lace overlay is slightly different from the one featured on the website which looks blue. So if you’e getting this dress, it’s worth double-checking with them on which colour you’ll get.
You can achieve a lot of different looks with one dress! I went for a more “regal” style with a gorgeous orange & green scarf. But you can easily achieve a dark romance look with a black pair of stilettos and a burgundy lipstick! The pashmina scarf (gifted to me by my grandma) matches perfectly with the dress and looks effortless. Nevertheless, this Jones and Jones Audrey Dress would also look gorgeous with a faux fur shawl or even a leather jacket!
In terms of jewellery, I have decided to keep it simple because of the many details of this outfit! The only jewellery I’m wearing is a pair of oversized earrings! Other than the beautiful details, you also get a nice surprise at the back. The back is see-through, so a backless bra will come in handy!
My Party Prep Checklist
Other than putting together an outfit, I’ll also be doing some pre-party season preparations, in order to achieve that healthy glow! Here are some of the things I’ll be focusing on:
Exercise: I’ll be working on my legs and arms, especially my shoulders in preparation for Christmas. A few runs and a couple of days of Blogilates should do the job!
Detox: I’ve been snacking a lot during the past couple of months and have been stuffing my face with chocolates and biscuits, but these will be reduced from my diet until Christmas!
Skin care: Simple is the key! I’d avoid new products in case of flare-ups (which happens a lot in the winter). Exfoliate and moisturise is the way to go!
Fake tan: A gradual tan does wonders! It does not only give you a gorgeous glow, but applied the right way, a fake tan can also make you look skinnier!
Hair: Beautiful hair with a healthy glow is important too! Using a hair oil treatment throughout December will give it a natural shine, especially in the (occasional) winter sun!
