Remember that I did a Zombie Run with Joe Blogs – Blogger Network back in November? Well, following on from that I was invited to another fun run this month. You guessed it from the pictures, I went for a 6k Santa Run on one of the coldest days of the year!
The run took place at Battersea Park on the 6th December (right before Bloggers Christmas Party)! Other than having a laugh and getting into the festive spirit, the Santa Run at Battersea Park is also a charitable event. The aim of this run was to raise money for Disability Snowsport UK. You can read more about it on London Town.
Hiding under my beard thinking “why did I sign up for this? I’d rather be in bed right now!!!!” |
Post run #selfie! |
Joe Blogs send me on so many exciting missions and this particular one was sponsored by Simplyhealth to promote healthy outdoor activities this winter, hence the hashtag #SHHealthyHabits. The event was somewhat less talked about than some of the other Joe Blog’s events, so I was a little scared that I was the only one going.
Luckily enough, I wasn’t the only healthy Santa! I was accompanied by Hermione (from Joe Blogs, not Harry Potter) and Jessica (Look what I got). Thankfully, the run was fairly relaxed and it wasn’t timed, so we managed to have a little chat during our morning run in the park. It would’ve been so much better if it was warmer, but alas, our enormous Santa suits kept us warm. 😉
Have you ever done something like this before?

This looks like so much fun! Loved that you all wore santa suits! fair play to you for doing this, so amazing! x
Beauty with charm
Haha! I had loads of fun and it was totally worth getting out of bed for. 😛 x
You must be very sporty. I like the idea of a zombie run. I also signed up to do a Santa run a few years ago, but it was one of those super cold snowy winters in London, so the run was cancelled..
