The Brand: The chances are that you have probably already heard of Balm Balm. I’ll give an introduction anyway since this is the first time I’m featuring Balm Balm on here. The best thing about this brand is that it is 100% natural and organic without any signs of preservatives. Also, as the name suggests, Balm Balm specialises in different types of balms (e.g. face balm, lip balm, all over balm etc.) and essential oils.
Product Description:
“Made from shea butter, sunflower, beeswax, jojoba, calendula rose geranium essential oil, gently melted together to create a soft balm formulation to soothe, moisturise and nourish your face & neck or anywhere else that might need caring for. Rose geranium has a delightfully uplifting, feminine fragrance. Our Rose Geranium Face Balm is an organic face balm certified by the Soil Association.”
My View:
Scent: To be honest, I’m not too keen about the scent. It does have a hint of rose oil, but I felt that the nice scent was concealed by a stronger scent of woody essential oil.
Texture: As expected, the product comes out in a solid balm, but it rubs out nicely into an oil. However, as this is a natural product, the texture can change a little depending on the storage temperature.
Result: I found the Rose Geranium Face Balm a little too oily for my whole face since I have combinational skin, so I use it as a lip balm and on my dry elbows isntead. It doesn’t “taste” amazing, but it’s really soothing and contains loads of moisture.
Overall, I think Balm Balm Rose Geranium Face Balm is a nice, safe and affordable natural alternative to ordinary lip balms or anything else you want to use it for. The disadvantage of a natural product like this is that it doesn’t stay fresh forever, but I’m sure this multi-tasker will get used up rather quickly. 🙂
Behind the Scene Background:
The photos were taken on a bridge at London Wetland Center. Other people took photos of birds, but I took photos of beauty products. I thought the river-field background suited this Face Balm well because it accentuates the “naturalness” of Balm Balm without clashing with the pink packaging. 😛
Cosmo Awards: I would be forever grateful if you nominated me for the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards as Best New Beauty Blog. I really hope that being different in terms of photography (photo backgrounds that tells a story) will be a memorable characteristic.

Thanks for the review.
I don't use balm during the day. I also find it too oily…

Thanks! That's a good idea actually, using it as a night treatment. 🙂 x
I like the sound of this balm and I never tried this brand before 🙂
I am not completely sure if the consistency would suit my skin type but I am curious about the scent!

Some of the oils Balm Balm sells sound quite good.
Yeah, I think this balm works better for autumn/winter to be honest, but it works nicely as a lipbalm in the summer x
I have combi skin too, so wouldn't be keen on using this. Great pics. x

Yeah, it's probably better for dry skin. Thank you! x
This sounds lovely – I like a very moisturing night treatment in winter, so I might pick this up later in the year 🙂

I agree, I might try this product on my face again later this year. It might work as a miracle then 😉 x
