I was lucky enough to get one of the last spaces to an Origins event as a part of Company Beauty Week for Company Magazine readers. The event was all about Origins Ginzing moisturiser, but we were lucky enough to try out the entire Origins range at the venue, Oxo Tower. In addition, as a lucky reader, I received an Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins night cream (one of their bestsellers) in my goody bag.
The greatest thing about Origins is that they use natural, high quality ingredients that nourish and protect the skin. Not only does the packaging look great, but all their products smell amazing. It’s no doubt one of the most trusted green skincare brands worldwide.
Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins* (£34/50ml)
“Mineral-enriched renewal cream. Put dullness to rest. Wake up radiant & refreshed. Now nature’s famed night cream is newly fortified with a system of time-released resurfacers plus Vitamins C, E & H, minerals & moisture-rich replenishers. While relaxing aromas lull you to sleep, skin sloughs away dry, dead layers. Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins™ helps the appearance of dullness. Helps the slumber deprived wake up on the bright side of the bed. So why face dull skin. Sleep it off tonight.”
Smell: The smell of Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins night cream is very much like, if not exactly the same as Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC cream I reviewed a while ago. It’s got a strong scent of orange blended with a sweet and mild smell of vanilla. This is no doubt a wonderful combination.
Texture: The texture is super soft; balmy upon touch and silky when it’s rubbed out. I feel that Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins is very light, yet it contains the moisture content of a rich/oily face cream. You only need a tiny amount for each application.
Result: I love this Origins High Potency Night-A-Min night cream because it makes me wake up to a soft and plump looking face. I’m at that age where faint expression marks due to dry skin can be a bit of a problem, but after using this for a few weeks, I felt that those premature “wrinkles” became less obvious. I wouldn’t call this an anti-wrinkle cream, but I would definitely recommend it to people who suffers from expression marks (especially during the winter) like me.
The only thing I don’t like about Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins is the price tag. It’s a little more than what I’d like to spend on a 50ml moisturiser, but it does last for a long time (my estimate: 3 months) because a little goes a long way.
Behind the scene background:
I traveled all the way to Regent Park because it was half sunny and I wanted to explore a new area. After battling through an hour of rain and wind, the sun finally came out and I got to see a full rainbow at the Queen Mary’s Rose Garden (minus the roses). I also found this beautiful waterfall there, which I thought would be perfect for this product! It’s all blurred in the product photos, but here’s a nicer photo for you to enjoy.
Lovely post and a lovely blog 🙂 also think you have great pic!
