Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Review and Swatches

I previously mentioned Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara in the Starting Off Project: Mascara post. Nonetheless, I just wanted to write a quick recap about the product because I felt that I didn’t get to do a proper review, also because I wanted to show you these pretty pictures!
From the looks of it, Jelly Pong Pong focuses on creating a dream-like experience through their extremely girly product range, which reminds me a lot of Benefit Cosmetics. I personally feel that I’m a little too old for Jelly Pong Pong’s target group, but I do find occasional products that I’d like to try from this brand.
This is one of the products I received in my May Glossybox. I fell in love with the packaging right away and thought the name “Jelly Pong Pong” was very sweet! However, I wasn’t too pleased with it after testing it out several times (read on), so I left it to “rot” for several months before digging it out again in September.

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara (£15)
Product Description:
This is not for the
faint-hearted. Our first ever mascara is formulated to make eye lashes flutter
& flap. Water-resistant, Fairy Lashes makes eyelashes thicker & curvier
while allowing them to be spectacularly soft & light. A truly fabulous
effect for the woman who wants to emphasize one deep, intense, seductive look.
My View:
Why did I not like it at first? When I tried to remove it, the mascara came off in lumps rather than a smudge (does it make sense?). I wasn’t used to it at the beginning, but the good thing about it is that other than the lumps, it came off easily without giving me a black eye.
What I like most about this mascara is that is water-resistant and lasts for a long time without any sign of smudging. Besides, as seen in the picture above, this mascara really lengthens my lashes and make them flutter!
However, I felt that this mascara dried up really quickly! My Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara is coming to its end-life after three months. I like to keep my mascara for bit longer than that, but three months is the recommended time for replacing your mascara so I can’t really complain.

Background: NOWHERE in London looks like that now. The background is in fairy land. Just kidding, the background is Battersea Park during the summer (obviously). Beautiful flowerbed nowhere to be found at this time of the year. 😛
